SiLA interface for Lab Logistics
April 10, 2012Info
After project-specific adapters for SiLA have long been available, I am pleased to announce that we have developed and successfully tested a SiLA adapter for storages. The adapter is now available as part of our product Lab Logistics.
With the available adapter it is now possible to automatically exchange inventory data between SILA compatible storages and Lab Logistics. The system detects if a storage is available, and processes the data accordingly. A user is also able to modify and update the storages configuration using a special user interface.
The integration of the SiLA Standards into our product lines is another step towards the fulfillment of our campaign ReFocus on Science.
Visit at the Swiss Symposium on Lab Automation
April 2, 2012Info
Also this year the Swiss Conference on Lab Automation was held at the University of Applied Sciences in Rapperswil. Again, we at Xavo, took the opportunity to listen to exciting lectures and to engage in interesting discussions. The keynote speech by Peter Oliver provocatively showed a view into the future of lab automation. The walk toward this future has already begun, as he pointed out by presenting Sila.
Visual detection was one of the main topics of this year’s symposium, and interesting presentations were given regarding this topic. And once again you could see that issues from the industry certainly keep moving into the research of the life science industry. As most of you know Xavo is pursuing a similar approach with Lab Logistics and bringing years of expertise in logistics processes from manufacturing into the drug discovery industry in life sciences.
The presentations can be downloaded from the website of the organizing Institute ILT (Institute for Laboratory Technology).
For me it was a great day and I’m looking forward to the next symposium.
First day at SLAS
February 7, 2012Info
The first day of our presence at SLAS 1st annual conference 2012 in San Diego was very successful! We had a lot of interesting talks about our new version of Xavo Lab Logistics v2.0 where we show the new user interface, the modular concept and the enhanced process flows to the public.

If you are around, we are more than happy to welcome you at our booth 1245. But you have to hurry, as the exhibition will only be open until February 7th 6 p.m. PST. For all that can not make it to sunny San Diego we recommend our completely new Xavo Lab Logistics Homepage with all relevant informations on the upcoming version of XLL.
Warm Greetings!

Welcome to SLAS
February 6, 2012Info
Now almost a tradition is Xavo’s presence at the annual show and exhibition of the Society for Laboratory Automation and Screening (formerly known as Lab Automation).
This year, the show is held in San Diego, and Xavo is present with its own booth for the third time already. The highlight at Booth will be the exclusive preview on Xavo Lab Logistics v2.0 that will be released later this year.
If you are around, take the chance and take a look at the biggest step forward for Xavo Lab Logistics to date and learn about the enhanced user experience, the extended functionality, and how your lab can benefit from Xavo Lab Logistics, regardless of size, or number of users.
We are looking forward to seeing you on our booth at SLAS Conference and exhibition in San Diego.
Yours
Yannick & Thomas
