First day at SLAS

February 7, 2012Info

The first day of our presence at SLAS 1st annual conference 2012 in San Diego was very successful! We had a lot of interesting talks about our new version of Xavo Lab Logistics v2.0 where we show the new user interface, the modular concept and the enhanced process flows to the public.

If you are around, we are more than happy to welcome you at our booth 1245. But you have to hurry, as the exhibition will only be open until February 7th 6 p.m. PST. For all that can not make it to sunny San Diego we recommend our completely new Xavo Lab Logistics Homepage with all relevant informations on the upcoming version of XLL.

Warm Greetings!

Thomas, Thomas & Yannick

Welcome to SLAS

February 6, 2012Info

Now almost a tradition is Xavo’s presence at the annual show and exhibition of the Society for Laboratory Automation and Screening (formerly known as Lab Automation).

This year, the show is held in San Diego, and Xavo is present with its own booth for the third time already. The highlight at Booth will be the exclusive preview on Xavo Lab Logistics v2.0 that will be released later this year.

If you are around, take the chance and take a look at the biggest step forward for Xavo Lab Logistics to date and learn about the enhanced user experience, the extended functionality, and how your lab can benefit from Xavo Lab Logistics, regardless of size, or number of users.

We are looking forward to seeing you on our booth at SLAS Conference and exhibition in San Diego.

Yours
Yannick & Thomas

The End of the Year

December 16, 2011Info

Dear Friends, Colleagues, Partners and Customers!

2011 was a great year for Xavo. The development of our products Xavo Plant Scheduling and Logistics Lab Xavo was very impressive for us. Our customers were equally impressed at fairs such as the Digital Factory in Hanover or MipTec in Basel, which could also convince them how innovative Xavo products can be. In the project business Xavo is more and more involved in growing and global projects.

We like to thank our customers and partners for the trust and great cooperation. We wish you and your families a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Kind regards
Your Xavo-Team

Dear Friends of Xavo,

The life of a factory manager has become increasingly difficult in recent years. Managing a plant at peak efficiency levels requires a complex balancing of many factors. Intricate factory floor plans, large numbers of products and variants and frequent and unexpected events must be managed correctly in order to minimize their effect on production times, delivery dates and costs. It is a real challenge to keep all production processes synchronized.

Manufacturing is a complex beast.

Tobacco and cigarette production are no exceptions. A large and growing number of products cause frequent machine setups. High-performance equipment breaks down at any moment. Last-minute orders wreak havoc with demand forecasts. Material runs out. Internal constraints (machine capabilities and capacities, routing restrictions, factory calendars, equipment maintenance schedules, vacation days, etc.) complicate the production process. The job planning department is nevertheless expected to run the factory such that it always meets the needs of its customers and produces high-quality products.

I have a dream.

What if an optimized production schedule could be created for the entire factory within minutes? What if game-changing events could be managed equally fast? The plant would always be at peak efficiency no matter what the current conditions may be. Broken equipment, unexpected orders, missing raw materials and absent staff could be taken into consideration in real time. A production plan could be calculated for any scenario-expected and unexpected-and the plant would always run optimally under current circumstances.

TabExpo 2011 – a great success

November 28, 2011Info

After four successful days our Xavo Team returned, bearing a whole lot of highly interesting contacts. The demand for real-time scheduling is continuously growing; many conversations circled around its many benefits and respective deployment scenarios. Furthermore Xavo’s concept on harmonic planning was greatly appreciated.

We’d gladly like to extend out thanks to our many visitors and clients for their interest and the many conversations we had. The next TabExpo lies four years in the future but we’d be happy to see some familiar faces in 2012 at the Hannover fair already.
