Software Developer (male/female)

This is an individual contributor role as a Software Developer for Xavo Software AG in Bayreuth, Germany. It is a full-time position with 40 working hours per week. Roles and responsibilities

  • Development of Software for Xavo products or customer applications in C# or Java

  • Work with modern Software development tools like .NET Core, Docker, Travis CI and

    Open Source technologies like RabbitMQ, NoSQL-DBs

  • Work with latest web technologies like REST-APIs, HTML5, JavaScript and CSS

  • Participate in the design and development of Software using either agile

  • methodologies or the v-model methodology

  • Create Software specifications and documentation

  • Work with collaboration tools like Confluence, Jira and Slack

  • Full responsibility for the functionality and quality of the Software developed

  • Communication with internal and external stakeholders as part of the requirements

    gathering and deployment of the deliverables

  • Deep understanding of complex technical processes and problems, their dependencies and respective solutions in Research, Development and Production

  • Understanding of the Software development process (V-model, Agile) as well as modelling tools (UML, BPML)

  • Ability to develop software-based solutions of technical problems

  • Fundamental understanding of Unix/Linux-based systems and databases

  • Highly efficient as a team player as well as in solo tasks

  • Strong orientation towards quality, customer satisfaction and reaching and exceeding

    business targets

  • Continuously strive for personal excellence and self-improvement 


Formal prerequisites

  • Relevant vocational education or college degree or multiyear professional experience in a similar role in the Software industry

  • Excellent language skills in German and English

  • Willingness to travel occasionally (e.g. customer visits) – max. 10% of working days
